The Enemy – FearIt doesn’t matter what you are selling, the reason you got into sales is because, fact- it is the highest paying position in the world. It can pay you more than a lawyer, a doctor, and an surgeon, if you allow it to. What is ironic about is that it requires one thing, - courage. The courage to face your enemy, fear, and step forward to a realization that all you need to do is give yourself value in what you do, and understand your purpose is to serve others. The fear produced by you has an attachment to your upbring. We plan to bring folks to an awareness, expose why the fear, deal with this fear(s), and re-program to success. Sales at one time were corrupted by lack in ethics. Those days are gone. Sales today are basically regulated in the true sales professions to serve the consumer with protection, satisfaction, and guarantees in mind. The sales profession is wide open. Yet, no one “dares” to take hold of the challenge because of multiple “excuses.” Excuses are reason not to allow you to self promote, are you aware of that? Be aware that if you tried something and you succeeded you have found your freedom. If you excuse an opportunity then one will experience “true failure” to recognize a possible true calling. In recent years while I was researching my book on awareness, I became sensitive to my actions, and began to document my behaviors. I found that there was a second voice I call “skull echoes” of excuses “not to” do things important to my success. Note, I have been involve in corporate sales training for many years, and I found this familiar voice is an invader of my thoughts and plans just like anybody else. As I shared my finding of self awareness with my mind alliance group, they too experience the same. The conclusion was we are hindering our growth potential, and have identified why 80% of all salespeople fail within the first year[i] due to inadequate prospecting. Prospect is the life of any selling. Even if you’re looking for a job, sales still will come into play. I am sure you don’t stay at home e-mailing your resume to employers, or do you? You are suffering from call reluctance. It will destroy you, by stealing your time, until it you hit broke. Reluctance has a category in itself and spiders out in a variety of symptoms. I just mentioned one above this sentence. Understand you should be in the driver’s seat when it comes to making things happen in your life. Everyone out there is pitching “the sales concepts that sell,” “the prospecting methods,” the perverted interpretation of the “law of numbers,” and so forth. Anyone can have a perfect business plan, and if you start to read through the things that you must cause to get the effect of business then your subconscious (unknowingly due to past experiences in your life) will begin to recall the reasons why “not to rush to do it.” The series of research will be posted on our Wealth Builders page within the next few days. There will be a series of questions that will enable you to identify call reluctance in your life. If you are one to join us – this research is being converted in a book to be published by the New Year. It won’t have the most luxurious title, but there is a reason for it. I need to get your attention to wake up. The title of the book will be “Get Your Head Out of Your Ass and Live A Good Life.” You can visit www.prcomedy.webs.com and take a look at the visual of the cover to be. [i] Sales Call Reluctance® research by George Dudley & Shannon Goodson March 2009 "You have two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them.” - Denis Waitley “If you’re serious about rising above the Recession, making 2009 a super-prosperous year, preparing to profit as never before in the fast-developing new economy and building some real, long term security...” |
